Why I Started This Practice
Less pathologizing | More understanding | Real results

This kind of therapy isn’t for everyone, and it’s not meant to be. I created this practice for those seeking therapy that is depth-oriented yet approachable and conversational, and rooted in human connection. Many find that the work here focuses less on pathologizing and short-term symptom relief, and more on deepening self-understanding and gradually shaping a life they enjoy living. This practice offers an alternative to the traditional insurance-driven therapy model, which some experience as rigid, overly clinical, or impersonal.
Working outside of insurance creates more flexibility and privacy. The process can be shaped by what feels meaningful to you, not by what needs to be documented. It also allows me to be more present and focused, without the distractions of systems that take energy away from the work itself.
Many people I work with don’t meet the diagnostic criteria required for insurance coverage, even though they are seeking support. Others prefer not to carry a diagnosis at all, whether for personal reasons, privacy concerns, or to avoid having it tied to their medical record. I also work with people who do hold formal diagnoses but want space to explore them without being reduced to them. This model allows for a more nuanced approach across a wide range of situations.
The process here unfolds in its own way, without pressure or urgency. It’s shaped by who you are, not by what needs to be fixed.
